Our Story
The idea for the Buggy Bench® was born in 2011 when our founder, a busy mom of three young children, struggled to shop comfortably with a baby and toddler in tow. She was frustrated with having to hold her infant carrier in one hand while trying to control her wiggly toddler with the other. There had to be a better way!
After searching in vain for a product that would safely contain both children in the cart, she decided to create her own solution. As an engineer, our founder was up to the task of designing a sturdy, adjustable seat that could attach securely to standard shopping carts. The prototype for the Buggy Bench® was born!
With feedback from other parents, our founder refined the design to be easy to install and adjust. She sourced durable, baby-safe materials so the Buggy Bench® would withstand frequent use. In 2012, the first Buggy Bench® models were produced in the USA and sold online to rave reviews from grateful parents.
As the popularity of the Buggy Bench® grew, our small family-run business expanded to meet demand. We listened closely to our customers’ needs and suggestions, using that input to continuously improve the product. Several enhanced models were introduced over the next few years.

Our Product
The Buggy Bench® Shopping Cart Seat is the ultimate solution for safely securing two young children in a standard grocery cart. This sturdy seat and harness system frees up parents’ hands, helping them focus on shopping instead of juggling babies and chasing toddlers!
Our bench is designed to accommodate children from 6 months up to 40 lbs. It attaches easily to most major cart brands without tools, using adjustable safety straps. The seat back adjusts to fit growing children.
The Buggy Bench® surrounds kids in a comfortable, padded seat with a 5-point safety harness. This contains wiggly toddlers securely while giving babies a front-row view of the action. Children are protected from germy cart surfaces for a cleaner ride.
Parents have peace of mind knowing their precious cargo is safely contained. With both children secured in the cart, parents can devote their full attention to shopping. No more stressing over fussy babies or worrying about toddlers trying to climb out.
The Buggy Bench® folds flat for easy storage in its included carry bag. It wipes clean easily and is made with food-grade, BPA-free materials. Safety tested for quality and durability, our bench meets ASTM and CPSIA standards. It’s backed by a 1 year warranty.
